Dry garden and irrigation from scratch
A gravel garden with plants that need little water, built from bare ground, with its own irrigation control unit.
A new house with no garden. We built it from start to finish: preparing the ground, installing the irrigation and planting.
How we did it
- Earthworks and bringing in topsoil.
- Timber edging to separate paths and beds.
- Irrigation control unit with a timer and solenoid valves for each zone.
- Weed membrane, decorative gravel and planting of cycads, dwarf fan palms, agaves and conifers.
A well-made dry garden needs little water and little upkeep, and it copes with the summers we get here.
